About Ashley

Ashley has a decade of experience in the criminal justice system as a prosecutor at both the state and federal level, where she worked tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable. As a Deputy District Attorney with Marion County for more than 6 years, Ashley was a member of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit and specialized in cases involving children. While an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Oregon, Ashley was a member of the Organized and Violent Crime Unit, held the position of Human Trafficking Coordinator for the District of Oregon and was the lead prosecutor for violent crime in Indian Country related to the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. She showed up everyday with the goal of making sure the voices of the victims in her criminal cases were heard and has carried that goal over to her civil practice as well.

Ashley’s Approach

As a prosecutor, although her heart was with every victim and survivor she worked with, she had to continuously remind them that she was not their attorney, but rather she was the attorney for the state or government in the criminal prosecution of their perpetrator. In starting her own civil practice, Ashley is finally able to tell a survivor that she is THEIR attorney and their interests alone are what she is advocating for. Ashley is aware that the events that led her and a client to cross paths are likely some of the worst moments of her client’s life. Recognizing this, Ashley takes a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach to each case. Ensuring that her clients feel seen, heard and supported is essential to her practice.
